Longer veils create a stronger line behind the bride and can look beautiful with clean, minimal gowns as well as more detailed dresses. Think about how much of the train you want the veil to cover.

A cathedral-length veil is made for impact. It extends well behind the gown and creates a dramatic ceremony look, particularly in larger venues and outdoor settings with room for the veil to fall naturally.
How do I choose the right veil length?
Start with your dress. If your gown has beautiful back detailing, a lighter or shorter veil can let those details show through. If your dress is clean and minimal, a longer veil can add movement and drama without making the look feel busy. For a gown with a train, decide whether you want the veil to finish above it, blend into it, or extend beyond it.
Fingertip or cathedral veil?
Choose a fingertip-style veil when you want something romantic and versatile that is easier to move in. Choose cathedral length when the veil itself is part of the statement. Cathedral veils create a much more dramatic silhouette and are especially effective for ceremony photographs.
Should I choose ivory or white?
Match the veil to the overall tone of your gown rather than relying only on the colour name. Bridal whites vary between fabrics and designers. If your dress has a warmer ivory tone, ivory tulle will often blend more naturally; a brighter white veil can suit a crisp white gown.
